The session will be completed by a hands-on on how to write a Data Management Plan (DMP) which is a useful instrument for researchers to reflect on and communicate about the way they will deal (generate, analyse and share) with their data during their research project and afterwards.

The workshop is part of the annual conference of the PRACE Research Infrastructure

Agenda:

  • Introduction to EUDAT Services and interoperability solutions, Giuseppe Fiameni, CINECA (20 minutes)

  • Joint call for proposals - How users can apply for combined resources, Debora Testi, CINECA (20 minutes)

  • Data Management Plan fundamentals, René van Horik, DANS / EOSC-HUB (90 minutes)

    • DMP Hands-on a concrete use case

Learning goal:

The workshop outcomes will be an increase awareness for the researchers on how it is possible to combine HPC and data resources and services, together with a better understanding how this combined resources can be requested and on the importance of preparing a data management plan for their research project.
