Chair Ricarda Braukmann (DANS), Alice Meadows (NISO), Todd Carpenter (NISO)
Description

In this session, we will demonstrate the online community platform pidforum.org and discuss its use for the wider community. The PID Forum was established to be an online space where scholars interested in Persistent Identifiers and FAIR data can exchange ideas and information and discuss together. It was established in the FREYA project but will continue to exist afterwards. We will look back at its launch and take you through the journey the forum took in becoming a vibrant online community with more than 450 members. We will also discuss the future of the Forum and how it can be utilized to best serve the community’s need.
