FAIR Data Implementation: Extending the portfolio of EOSC services with FAIR data repositories

Time
17 November 2020, 12:00 - 13:00 CET
Chair Johannes Reetz (MPCDF)
Description

EOSC Services: Long-term preservation repositories initially focused on the challenges bound to archiving digital objects over time. With the rise of the FAIR principles, new services have flourished around the research data - among which the ones from EOSC-hub. When integrated to a digital repository, a new level of high service quality can be reached that will enable trust from users, and certification will be the ultimate step to lock this.

SSHOC, Repositories, CoreTrustSeal+FAIR: Digital Repositories are a key EOSC data service and hubs for interoperability. Achieving CoreTrustSeal demonstrates Trustworthy Data Repository status and emerging EOSC work is aligning repository maturity with the ability to enable FAIRness. The SSHOC project is one project undertaking repository support with a view to increasing certification, sharing best practice and moving towards an active community of EOSC trusted repositories.

Note: This session will be held in the same virtual room as the Interoperability Introductory Session.
