FAQ survey: the demand for procurement of digital services for research

Q: The survey is for 3 different roles; do I need to skip some questions?

A: We recommend to answers all the questions you are presented with; the survey dynamically present the questions that are most suitable to the answers you give; in particular, Q11 is the main question from which the questions related to each role are selected

Q: I’m not sure how to answer some questions, should I skip them?

A: We suggest to answer them even though you are not sure.

Q: How do I save data?

A: The data you insert in each page is saved when you click NEXT or FINISH (last page).

Q: I’m missing some information, can I interrupt the survey and come back to it later?

A: Yes, as long as you are on the same device and browser, by using the same URL you can restart filling the survey from the place you have stop; please remember to save the data in you current page by clicking NEXT at the bottom; note that once you click FINISH, you cannot reopen the survey.

Q: I would like to enter the survey again as I collected better data, what I can do?

A: once you click FINISH, the survey tool does not allow to enter a new survey. You have different options: 1) flush the cookies and cache in your browser and reopen the page; 2) open the survey page from a different browser; 3) open a private session from your browser (in this case, once you close it, you cannot come back to the survey because the cookie will be deleted;

Q: What happens to my answers if I click “PREV” at the bottom of the page?

A: Each time you click “PREV”, the data on the page you are leaving are deleted.

Q: I’m not sure how to answer many questions, should I complete the survey?

A: in this case, it is likely that you have to reconsider the selected role. We suggest to return back to Q11 and choose a more suitable role. You can do that by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and select the “PREV" button. Keep pressing the “PREV” buttons on each page until you get back to the page with Q11. Re-answer Q11 and then click “NEXT”. You will then be taken to the corresponding section.  (Q11: What is your broad role within the organisation? 1) Conducting or Leading Research. 2) IT Services: Operations and Management, 3) Organisational Management, Procurement and Finance).

Q: I match one of the 3 roles mentioned in the survey; I have colleagues in my organisations that match the other roles; should I invite them to participate in this survey?

A: yes, definitely.

Q: What do you mean by FAIR data?
